Millennia Ductless System

The Sustainable DC Millennia HVAC features are unique in the world with an on board charge controller that can be wired to accept renewable direct DC power or US grid power and EU grid power. With a 20 hour backup battery bank capability. The Millennia requires very little renewable energy to run completely independent all day and night. This makes the Millennia one of a kind for zero emission climate control. The Millennia line is completely scaleable, units can be combined or zoned for 1/2-10 ton applications.

The Millennia Package and Split Systems easily installs inside or outside, in utility closets, an addition, office, garage or warehouse. A wheeled, portable version that is fully charged can be easily operated remotely for up to 12 hours between charges. DC options that should be integrated into the Millennia Package and Split Systems are; Ceiling Fans, Power Ports and Lighting.

What is SEER?

SEER is an acronym for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio and is used to specify the comparative energy efficiency of air conditioners under 65,000 Btu's (about 5.5 tons). It is the result of the Btu's produced divided by the watts consumed. An air conditioner is said to be 10 seer if, for example it produces 36,000 Btu's per hour (3 tons) and consumes 3600 watts in that one hour of operation..

Each one point increase above 13 seer reduces operating costs by about 5%-10%, so for any given capacity a 13 seer air conditioner costs about 35%-70% more to operate than a 19 seer.

On average, when compared to a standard 13 seer, higher seer ratings will recoup their increased initial cost in 2-7 years.

Energy Efficiency Rating

EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) - The ratio of major appliances, as well as air-conditioners. EERs are calculated by dividing the BTUs (British Thermal Units) of a unit by the number of watts it will draw. The more efficient the appliance, the higher the EER number.
